Photo Album: Gambrel Roof Replacement in West Harrison, IN
This gambrel roof in West Harrison, IN, was showing signs of old age. Split shingles, cracked shingles, granule loss, and warped shingles had compromised the safety of the roof. The owners of the home called us because they heard about our work through a friend. They commissioned us to replace their gambrel roof entirely, after our Inspector gave them a detailed plan about how we could build a long-lasting roof, specifically designed for their barn-styled home. We started by stripping all the shingles and exposing the sheathing. We then replaced the wooden boards that became compromised, and taped all the sheathings at the seams. We then installed our two underlayments, making sure to install the Ice & Water protected underlayments (white) at all the most susceptible spots in their roof. We then nailed the Frostone shaded IKO shingles down to the roof, which were hand picked by the homeowners. The result was a happy customer who felt very confident in their built-to-last new roof!

New Gambrel Roof
This roof came with a very lowly-sloped garage section and a very steeply-sloped main section. A very classic style that perfectly fits West Harrison, IN.
