Photo Album: Mold in Attic Fixed - Wilmington, OH Roof Replacement

This homeowner in Wilmington, OH, called us so we could give a free roof inspection for their home. The homeowners noted that their seemed to be a leak near the crown of their roof, and that the roof was about 13 years old. When we inspected the roof, we noticed that the shingles weren't in too bad of a shape, but the decking was a problem. Mold had sprawled across the decking, which was weakening the structure. This mold could also cause health complications for the people living in the home, so we made sure to explain what was going on in their attic. It turned out that the bathroom exhaust fans were not working correctly, causing moisture problems in the attic. The homeowners decided that they wanted us to replace the entire roof so that we could replace the decking properly and remove the mold. When replacing this roof, we made sure to correct the exhaust fan problem and to replace all the moldy wood. After the project, the homeowners noticed that the air in their home was smelling much fresher, and the took a sigh of relief.
