Photo Album: New Roof Installation in Southgate, KY - Serving Newport Homeowners
This home located in Newport, KY, was a rental home, and the owner wanted to make sure their property stayed protected from weather damage, so they contracted us to replace the aging roof. This was an American Foursquare type of home - which made for a complex roofing project with many different slopes and shapes to work with. However, the hardest part of installation wasn't the large slopes, it was actually a hornet nest we encountered. After Dave, the project manager, "eliminated" the hornets nest, we had to call the customer to let them know that the project would need to be delayed a day in order to keep our installers safe from leftover wasps. Luckily, the home was not being rented out at the time, so no tenants were bothered either. We replaced the roof with IKO Dynasty AR shingles in the Biscayne shade. These are the underlayments we use for our 50 year "no-leak" warranty. The white Ice & Water shield was adhered to the decking with its gluey backed substance. The Ice & Water shield was applied at all the most water logged - vulnerable areas on the roof The tan synthetic felt underlayment was applied everywhere else.
