Gutter Guards & Roof Replacement in Morrow, OH

This photo shows a photo of the leaking downspout. This photo was taken during the initial inspection when it was raining. We would later rework the downspout to ensure it was sealed properly.

This photo shows the disconnection between the downspout and the discharge line. All the water leaked out of the downspout and puddled off to the left of the photo. This photo was also taken upon the initial inspection. We would later reconnect the downspout to the line that runs under the ground.

This photo shows a section of missing shingles that blew off from a storm. Our Inspector tarped the section while the insurance company sent us their closest matching shingle to see if a patch repair could be feasible. This photo was also taken upon the initial inspection.

After we received the shingles the insurance company sent over, our Inspector then documented the process of the patch repair. He started with a flat bar to reduce the lift on the existing shingles when installing the patch.

Our Inspector made sure to use all the right tools and to document the process with photos so that the insurance company could come to the right conclusion of whether or not the front section of this roof needed a full replacement.

Our Inspector then used a snake tool to safely install the shingles provided by the insurance company.

The new shingles provided by the insurance company stuck out like a sore thumb. Also, the existing shingles that were lifted up carefully to install the new shingles had creased. This repair job was not feasible, and the insurance company agreed. They then covered the replacement cost for the entire front side of the roof.

When we removed the existing shingles, we made sure to tarp the home to control the debris removal process.

After stripping the roof down to the decking, we then inspected the wood to make sure it was all up to code. After confirming the decking was in good shape, we then taped the seams of the decking with our four inch blue decking tape. We then installed our (white) Ice & Water shield six feet up from all the edges and in all the most vulnerable spots. We then installed our synthetic felt underlayment everywhere else.

This photo shows the final transformation. We added a close up view of the new RainDrop gutter guards we installed as well. We also reworked the downspouts and ran a rain test to ensure the system was working properly.

This photo shows the IKO Dynasty - Summit Gray colored shingles we used to replace the roof. These shingles are class three rated against wind & hail damage.
