Class 3 Wind & Hail Protection in Alexandria, Kentucky

This roof in Alexandria, KY needed replacement after leaks appeared in the home’s second-floor ceiling. One of our inspectors provided a free, thorough estimate, which the homeowner appreciated and accepted.

We began by stripping the roof down to the sheathing and replacing all wood that was not up to code. Next, we taped all sheathing seams and installed our premium underlayments — KRS Ice & Water Shield and KRS Velora Synthetic Felt.

The Ice & Water Shield was applied to all vulnerable areas such as edges, where its adhesive backing creates a waterproof seal around nails. We then installed IKO Dynasty AR shingles, which are Class 3 rated for wind and hail resistance.

Finally, we completed the job with precise flashing and sealing, ensuring a clean transition. The homeowner was very pleased with the process and noted how respectfully we treated their property throughout.
