This roof replacement project took place in Walton, Kentucky. The homeowner reached out to us after noticing a leak above their laundry room. Upon inspection, we found multiple leaks throughout the roof and immediately tarped three areas to prevent further water damage. For the full replacement, we installed IKO Dynasty AR shingles in Granite Black—Class 3 impact rated for excellent durability against wind and hail. We used KRS Velora synthetic underlayment for overall waterproofing, and installed our KRS Ice & Water Shield around all vulnerable areas for a watertight seal that wraps each nail in leak-proof protection. Here we are installing our shingles. When we nail the shingles over the white underlayment, the glue infused into the underlayment wraps around the nail, creating a seal. That's why we used our white shield in all the most vulnerable spots for water build up on the roof.
